In Matthew 25:31-45, Jesus states very clearly that a real Christian will step into acts of care and compassion for those in need. Jesus saw this as such a significant issue that He equated Himself to those less fortunate and said that when we care for those in need we are caring for Him...
35 For I was hungry and you gave me something to eat, I was thirsty and you gave me something to drink, I was a stranger and you invited me in, 36 I needed clothes and you clothed me, I was sick and you looked after me, I was in prison and you came to visit me.’ 40…‘I tell you the truth, whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers of mine, you did for me.’ Mat 25:35-36,40
Taking Jesus' instructions to heart, we are excited about this ministry at Pacific Coast Church called Project 25 (Inspired from Matthew 25).
Project 25 is a compassion-based ministry designed to empower PCCers to engage in personal life-changing care for those in need while also clearly demonstrating the power of God’s love throughout the process. PCC has been establishing multiple partnerships with various non-profit Christian organizations throughout Southern California in order to work together and better maximize our overall impact and effectiveness. Project 25 is designed to include everyone. You can participate individually, as a family, or with your community group. Regardless of your age or life-stage, Project 25 is for you!
